T one Euro build
Kris,
Great job on the build thread. I'm still amazed that you got it built in time to fly at JOK. I really appreciate all your help while I've been working on mine. I agree it is a bit of a challenge and space is a premium for everything that it has going on. T- one did do a fantastic job in giving this model a scale appearance. You pretty much covered everything here and my pics would just be redundant but I will include a couple that may help someone wanting to attempt a somewhat full intake tunnel. Since the tanks had to be redesigned from the originals that I got, the intake tunnels ( however nice) were useless. I was concerned that pressure buildup near the nose gear door may force it open if I didn't use some type of intake tunnel.
Here's what mine looked like:

The other topic I will add to this thread is that of installing the afterburner rings. This was a challenge since I wanted the rings to be as close to the exit opening of the nozzles so they could be seen but that ended up completely blocking the access( thru the rear nozzles) to get the rear fuselage exhaust body screws attached to the rear of the jet. You are correct that the fitting is perfect but it took a little planning to figure out how I was going to get the rings install in the nozzles and still be able to get the screws in for the tail piece. First step was to mark where I wanted the rings to attached inside the nozzles. Made the mount blocks and installed the rings.(Pre wrapped all wiring in heat shield aluminum tape) Then I had to remove the engine mount rails and pull the bifurcated pipe as far forward in fuselage as possible. Then I attached pipe support frame to the back of the fuselage. Then I attached the tailcone body to the rear of the fuselage using supplied screws with a long screwdriver to reach thru the opening of the nozzles to the attachment points in the back of fuselage.( at this point make sure you are finished and satisfied with your rudder assembly because you will cover up access after tailcone body is attached.... any tail lighting , do it now)
Now the tricky part was sliding the pipe back into place , going thru the support brackets, and the afterburner rings. You will need engine mount rails removed to get a straight shot at lining up.

Getting real close now. Had to move batteries around a little but finally got it CGd. Had issue with light module and hopefully Dirk will be able to get me another one. All lights work but when connected to the receiver, it fried the two wire rx leads from the module.????
May learn RC and do an engine startup this weekend. Marc

I think that the fiber classic made the model before the full scale was up in service it was a builders kit just like the fiber classic mig-29 and the carf got the molds and make it a arf version with single elevator, my have split for old radios so elevator are the one closer to the body and ailerons, but it is the same size as carf with little different wings and canopy.

Dirk got me an instruction manual for the Euro fighter. Its not very complete but its something with lots of pics. If you need it please let me know and I will Email it to you.
Right now I am working on getting the light system installed and complete the weathering. Got lots of other stuff going on but will be back on this plane soon.

Same here....any questions just ask away. We have both been thru it . Ive built one of the first and Kris may have gotten a version just after mine with a couple of changes . Unfortunately I cannot give a flight report on mine.( just getting to the point where I feel like talking about it). After months of building and fabricating, it was finally ready for the maiden flight. On the way to the the field, my trailer ( with the euro inside) was t-boned in a car accident at about 50 mph and both trailer and contents were totaled!!. Of course the driver of the car has no insurance( still under investigation). I didn't think there could be a sicker feeling than watching your jet crash into the trees while flying it , but let me tell you, watching its carrier go rolling down the highway, and never even get to see it actually fly, now that will make you insanely sick!
Sadly I will not be attending Super Jets South now.
Gunradd ( Kris) , is an excellent builder and skillful repairman. He has given some encouraging words to me indicating it may be repairable. One can only hope he is right.! I'm currently dealing with insurance companies to see if I may possibly get any replacement for trailer and jet. Will take a small miracle , I'm afraid.

Marc,
This is truly a very sad sight to see and hear about, and I was feeling your pain!! I know you put some grueling hours of labor, love & tears on this jet, as we talked many times during the build. On the brighter note, a 1/2 of second earlier and she would have drove through the cab of your truck and possibly killed you. Planes, trailers and stuff are all replaceable and fortunately your trailer and Tiger Euro Fighter saved the lives of the driver and little boy in the car according to the Officer. This is the unfortunate part of our hobby, rebuilding!! You know we are here for you when you need us!!
Regards,
Dirk

Are the afterburner light rings included with the T-1 Models Eurofighter optional lighting kit?
I did not receive any afterburner light rings with the the light kit option that I paid Dirk $150 extra for.

T-1 eurofighter
Afterburner rings were included, I opted for the single pipe version, and got the rings for the two pipe version. I contacted Dirk, said he would get the correct rings sent.

I have a very nice set of Xicoy afterburner rings which will work if you are doing a single pipe and place in the dummy nozzles. Paid $200, will sell for $150 if anyone interested.
