RE: Goldberg Extra 300

Can always go to a 12X6 or a 12X5....

These engines are long strokes, but are timed for high rpms.... They are happiest when they are screaming! The 12X5 should do that.

RE: Goldberg Extra 300

Can't speak to the dubro gear, but I think you'll be okay. If you can angle them forward you'd be better off. My gear from graph-tech has a 1 inch forward rake to it.

I will be using 1/8th...

RE: Goldberg Extra 300

1.08's are hard to come by these days.... I am not an OS fan. I'd rather find a good Magnum.

RE: Goldberg Extra 300

Thanks Karol.

I was looking up the specs and the 2300 is almost a full pound heavier than the 90. It makes up for it in power though.

It is nice to have choices...

RE: Goldberg Extra 300

Would a Super Tigre G-2300 be too much for this airframe? I have seen people use gas, so I am thinking this may be okay... I think it is equivalent to something near a 1.40.

I have no love for 3D and that will never be my goal. I believe RCKen's signiture line says something like this: "If I wanted to hover, I'd fly a helicopter. (give or take)" I agree......
